Snowfall Reported; Some Roads Blocked
As of 09:00, light snow is falling in the Sevan region. This is reported by the Road Department Foundation.
There are instances of black ice on the roadways from Tsovagyugh to the beginning of the Dilijan tunnel, as well as on the roads in the areas of Lzen-Tatev, Goris, and Gavarr.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed to vehicles with trailers, while other types of vehicles face difficulties in transit.
All interstate and national roads are open.
The rescue service also reports that there are blocked and difficult roads across the territory of Armenia.
Due to road repair works, the section of the M-6 highway near Vanadzor-Alaverdi will be closed for buses and trucks with trailers or semi-trailers until February 15. An alternate route will operate through the town of Noyemberyan.
Roads leading from the ‘Amberd’ high mountainous meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to Amberd Fortress and Kary Lake are closed.
The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for trucks with trailers. Roads in Syunik Province are also difficult for trucks with trailers.
According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Management Department and the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles.
