A Special Electronic System for Centralized Registration of Domestic Violence Cases Is Being Implemented

The government made changes to the decision on establishing the "Procedure for Centralized Registration of Domestic Violence Cases" during its meeting today. The justification states that the implementation of the requirements of this procedure has led to numerous complications, making it impossible to compile the statistics intended for domestic violence cases to this day.

The draft proposes to implement a special electronic system for centralized registration of domestic violence cases. This system will allow for the efficient gathering and analysis of relevant data, enabling the justified saving of human and time resources. Additionally, it will facilitate the aggregation of data according to various indicators and characteristics. The proposed system will ensure the protection of personal data, granting access only to specially authorized personnel.

The new system will also allow tracking the status and progression of an individual’s case within the justice system, enabling assessment of the inevitability of accountability for domestic violence, the measures of accountability, and their severity. The content of the report on centralized registration of domestic violence cases will be revised to include not only quantitative but also qualitative analyses. This project has been developed taking into account contemporary promising practices and European experience.
