The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, has responded to a publication about him in the "Zhoghovurd" newspaper.
“So what if I've never been to Rwanda in my life? The important thing is that Alen Simonian is mentioned in the headline,” Simonian wrote on Facebook.
The newspaper reported that following Simonian's visit, Rwanda removed references to the Armenian Genocide from its museum.
