Several Roads Closed in Armenia

The Rescue Service informs that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in Armenia. Until February 15, due to road renovation works, the section of the M-6 highway between Vanadzor and Alaverdi, specifically around kilometers 38-40, will be closed for buses and trucks with trailers or semi-trailers. An alternative route will operate through the city of Noyemberyan.

In the Aragatsotn region, roads from the 'Amberd' high-altitude meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and the Kari Lake are closed. The road section between the Noravan intersection and the Shinuayr intersection is closed for all types of vehicles.

The section leading from the Jermuk city intersection to Saravan-'Zanger' is closed, as are the Vardenyats Pass and the Ishkhanasar-Kapan road for trucks with trailers. The Tatev-Ltzen-Sisian section is closed for trucks. The roads in the Syunik region and the Tatev-Aghvani road are difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers. There is a snowstorm at the Hrajis intersection and the Vardenyats Pass.

According to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry for North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.
