U.S. President Joe Biden has referred to his opponent and former president, Donald Trump, who has taken a leading position in the Republican race in Iowa, as the opposition's "clear favorite" in the upcoming presidential election. Biden's relevant statement was published on his page on the social media platform X.

"It seems Donald Trump has just won in Iowa. He is the obvious favorite of the opposition at this stage," Biden wrote.

Some time ago, it was revealed that based on the preliminary results of the voting in the Republican party's primaries in Iowa, former U.S. President Donald Trump remains the frontrunner among all candidates. The politician stated that he feels proud of these voting results.

Currently, the second place is held by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, while the top three also includes former U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley.

Bloomberg also reported that Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy announced the end of his participation in the elections.
