VIDEO: “What We Heard and Saw Is Clearly Useful,” Says Nikol Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended a presentation of research projects by students from the senior school of the ‘Mkrtich Sebastatsi’ educational complex in Yerevan. This was reported by the Government of Armenia.

The research projects of the senior students have been determined based on the state standards of general education and the educational plan of the authorial educational program. The defense of research work for the 2023-2024 academic year began in the January camp of 2024 and will continue until the end of the academic year, with one group per week according to the students' preparation.

Today, a second group of students presented their research work. The Prime Minister's attendance was prompted by an invitation from David Muradyan, a 10th-grade student. David's research theme was “Non-Verbal Communication in Politics.” Other students also presented their research works thereafter.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude and noted that such research projects are interesting. According to Nikol Pashinyan, with the new state standards in education, conducting research work in schools has now become a mandatory condition as part of the educational process. “Today, we have been convinced that this is the right decision and that the research component should be emphasized. In general, we believe—and this is a vital segment of our reforms in the educational sector—that education and research are closely interconnected. What we heard and saw is clearly useful. First, what motivates us to engage in such meetings and discussions is that we constantly talk about following through on our decisions and seeing how they manifest, and perhaps we will need to improve or change them. That is also the reason we are interested in being present in such audiences,” said the Prime Minister.
