Poland Agrees to Host German Troops
Poland has agreed to the deployment of German troops on its territory, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Shyain said in an interview with Rzeczpospolita.
“If the Germans want to strengthen NATO's eastern flank in Poland, as they did in Lithuania, then it is welcome,” he stated.
The diplomat noted that in the context of military operations “beyond Poland's eastern border,” Warsaw welcomes any assistance and cooperation from allies.
Currently, approximately ten thousand American soldiers are stationed in the country.
