Israel Has Completed the 'Intensive Phase' of Ground Offensive in Northern Gaza
Israel has completed the 'intensive phase' of its ground offensive in the northern Gaza Strip. Intense fighting is soon expected to conclude in the south, particularly in the Khan Yunis area, stated Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Monday, January 15, as reported by The Times of Israel.
According to him, Israeli forces are now operating in the north of Gaza with less intensity following the liquidation of all Hamas terrorist organization battalions in the area. The military is currently searching for remaining militants.
Gallant mentioned that Israeli forces in the southern region are focused on the leadership of Hamas, referred to as the 'head of the snake'. He added that the terrorists in the area are being 'eroded' as a fighting force.
