I Want to Meet the Parents Involved in the Incident at "Yereablur", Says Interior Minister

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Vahe Ghazaryan, has instructed to organize a meeting soon with the parents of the deceased servicemen, who experienced police brutality at the "Yereablur" military pantheon.

This statement was made by him during a press conference summarizing the year 2023.

“I truly regret the incident that occurred with the mothers of the servicemen who fell at 'Yereablur'. I have ordered and, if possible, I want to organize a meeting with the parents of our deceased servicemen who were involved in the incident that day,” said Ghazaryan.

It is noteworthy that the incident took place on September 21, 2022, Armenia’s Independence Day, when the parents of the fallen soldiers visited Yereablur to prevent Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from approaching their sons' graves. Some of the parents were subjected to detention by police officers, and a criminal case was initiated regarding the incident; however, no policemen have been held accountable to date.
