Baku Appeals Court Rejects Vagif Khachatryan's Appeal
The Baku Appeals Court has today rejected the appeal filed by Vagif Khachatryan, who was abducted by Azerbaijani forces in the Lachin Corridor. This information was reported by Sputnik Azerbaijan.
On November 7, it became known that an Azerbaijani court sentenced Vagif Khachatryan, a 68-year-old resident of Artsakh, to 15 years in prison.
It is recalled that Vagif Khachatryan was abducted on July 29 by representatives of the Azerbaijani border service while he was being transferred from Artsakh to Armenia for urgent medical treatment. Later, it became known that he was charged with allegedly creating a criminal group that participated in crimes against residents of the Meshali village in the Khojaly region on December 21, 1991.
During the court hearings, Khachatryan repeatedly stated that he had committed no crime.
