Which Roads in Armenia Are Impassable
There are closed and impassable roads in Armenia. This was reported by the Rescue Service.
Until February 15, due to road repair works, the segment of the M-6 highway from Vanadzor to Alaverdi between kilometers 38-40 will be closed for buses and cargo vehicles with trailers or semi-trailers. A detour road will operate through the town of Noyemberyan.
The roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari are closed.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed for cargo vehicles with trailers and impassable for other types of vehicles.
The roads from Saravan to "Zanger," from the village of Yeraskh to the Tigranashen loops, and from the Jermuk intersection to Kapan are closed for cargo vehicles with trailers.
The Ijevan-Noyemberyan highway is impassable for all types of vehicles.
Snow has fallen in Vayots Dzor and Syunik provinces, as well as in the towns of Stepanavan, Dilijan, and Noyemberyan.
There is black ice on the roads in Syunik Province, on the Dilijan-Vanadzor road, in Noyemberyan, and in the Berd region. Black ice can also be found in some areas of Tigranashen and the Dilijan loops.
Fog is present in the Vardenyats Pass.
According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center of the North Ossetia Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for cargo vehicles.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
