Japan Reports Possible Ballistic Missile Launch by North Korea

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has reportedly launched a missile, believed to be ballistic. This information comes from TASS, citing the Japan Coast Guard.

It is noted that Japan's patrol ships have called on vessels in the region to maintain a safe distance from any missile debris and to immediately contact authorities if any are found.

The service also stated that the ballistic missile launched by Korea has likely already fallen. NHK, referencing Japanese government sources, reported that the missile probably landed outside Japan's exclusive economic zone.

It is worth recalling that on December 18, the DPRK launched the Hwasong-18 intercontinental ballistic missile. According to the Korean Central Telegraph Agency, the missile traveled 1,002.3 km in 4,415 seconds at a maximum altitude of 6,518.2 km, precisely landing in the designated water area.
