U.S. Considers Kyiv's Military Outlook Gloomy
The military prospects for Kyiv appear bleak due to significant losses in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a reduction in Western weapon supplies. This is reported by The New York Times (NYT).
It is noted that Ukrainian soldiers are exhausted and suffering from a shortage of ammunition and personnel. The publication also pointed out that the West can no longer guarantee military assistance deliveries at the same level as in 2023.
On January 12, White House spokesperson John Kirby stated that the U.S. had suspended weapon and military equipment supplies to Ukraine because Washington has no remaining budgetary resources for this program. The official emphasized that the future of assistance to Kyiv depends on Congressional decisions.
