Emergency Services Respond to Chain Accident on Yerevan-Sevan Highway
On January 12, at 21:35, the Crisis Management Center of the Kotayk Regional Rescue Department received information about a chain accident on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, prompting the need for rescue assistance.
An operational group from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a firefighting unit, and a rescue group from the Special Rescue Operations Center were dispatched to the scene.
It has been confirmed that 17 vehicles were involved in the accident at the 43rd km of the Yerevan-Sevan highway. The injured individuals include D.P. (born 1994), N.A. (born 1999), O.S. (born 1959), B.S. (born 1960), S.A. (born 1965), E.T. (born 1998), G.M. (born 2018), and M.M. (born 1996). They were transported to medical centers, where their health conditions were assessed as satisfactory.
It was reported that until January 13 at 03:00, rescuers, along with officers from the Police Patrol Service, removed the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
