How Much Money Has Armenia Contributed to the EAEU Pool and How Much Has It Received?
In terms of revenues received from the EAEU common budget, 2023 has exceeded the 2022 figures by 32 percent. This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Karen Tamazyan, during a press conference.
“As you know, the customs duties collected from Armenia are transferred to the EAEU common fund, and from there, based on Armenia's corresponding share, which is 1.22 percent, it is allocated to the state budget. In this regard, the figures are as follows: approximately 187.5 billion drams were collected by the Republic of Armenia and transferred to the EAEU common budget in 2023, while Armenia received about 73 billion drams from the EAEU, meaning there is a shortfall of 114 billion drams (around 61 percent less),” Tamazyan said.
According to him, growth in this sector has been recorded in the importation of vehicles, household computer technology, tobacco products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as fuel additives such as gasoline.
