Around 20% of Global Fuel Supplies at Risk Due to Yemen Actions, According to Bloomberg
Around 20% of global fuel supplies will be at risk amid U.S. and U.K. actions in Yemen and potential moves from Iran. This assessment has been shared by Bloomberg, citing experts.
According to the report, Iran's possible measures aimed at limiting shipments through the Strait of Hormuz could specifically impact fuel markets. It is emphasized that the consequences of closing the Strait of Hormuz would be twice as significant as the effects on fuel markets from the war in Ukraine.
It is noted that fuel markets, excluding oil, have yet to respond to the attacks by the U.S. and U.K. on the positions of the Houthis in Yemen.
