We Do Not Agree with Anything That Would Violate Armenia's Sovereignty – Iranian Ambassador

We have always supported the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia. This was stated today by the newly appointed Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Sohbani during a conversation with reporters at the National Assembly.

"We do not agree with anything that would lead to a violation of Armenia's sovereignty," he said.

When asked if this means that he does not agree with the statements made by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the ambassador reiterated his point: "Anything that would violate Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity is unacceptable to us."
