NATO Promises Kyiv 'Additional Assistance Worth Billions of Euros'

After the Ukraine-NATO Council meeting, NATO member countries announced that they would continue to provide economic, humanitarian, and military assistance to Kyiv, including the strengthening of Ukrainian air defense. This was stated in the council's declaration, Meduza reports.

The publication notes that many NATO members have announced plans to provide 'additional assistance worth billions of euros' to Kyiv in 2024.

NATO members also 'strongly condemned' the Russian strikes against Ukraine, as well as Russia's use of ballistic missiles from North Korea and drones from Iran.

On January 10, the Ukraine-NATO Council meeting took place at the ambassadorial level. Due to internal political disagreements, the U.S. Congress has not yet approved funding for additional military assistance to Ukraine, amounting to over $60 billion.
