Kosh Penitentiary Transferred to the Ministry of Defense

The Kosh penitentiary facility located in the Ashtarak community of the Aragatson Province, along with its associated buildings and land, is being transferred to the Ministry of Defense. This decision is included in the agenda of the government's meeting today as a non-reporting issue.

According to the project, the Ministry of Defense will establish a training unit in the Kosh area. It is noteworthy that the operations of the Kosh penitentiary were halted as of January 1, 2022, due to underutilization. Simultaneously, the Hrazdan penitentiary facility was also suspended on the same grounds.
