Edita
There are no acts of disobedience at the Armavir penitentiary of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia. This was stated to Sputnik Armenia by the penitentiary service.
Earlier, reports emerged that the Anti-Corruption Committee had arrested Gevorg Gezhoyan, the head of the "Penitentiary Medical Center" subdivision of the Armavir penitentiary. It was also mentioned that inmates from that subdivision were rioting and trying to break down doors.
In connection with the above publication, the penitentiary service stated, "There are no acts of disobedience at the Armavir penitentiary; work is proceeding normally." The Anti-Corruption Committee has not yet succeeded in providing a comment.
