No Guarantees Needed for Peace Agreement, Says Aliyev

No guarantees are needed for the peace agreement. This was stated by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, during an interview with local television channels, as reported by Azerbaijani media.

“Fundamental conditions have now been created for signing the peace agreement. Armenia wants this peace agreement to have guarantees. We believe that this is not necessary,” Aliyev emphasized.

He highlighted that this will be a peace agreement signed between two sovereign states, noting, “We do not need guarantees, and if it is signed in a bilateral format, it should be signed. If someone wants to help, we are not against it. However, this help should not be imposed.”
