Winners of the 2024 Golden Globes Announced
The prestigious 81st annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles and was broadcast on CBS. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has unveiled the winners of the 2023 Golden Globe Awards.
The ceremony occurred at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Christopher Nolan was awarded Best Director for his film "Oppenheimer," which also won Best Dramatic Film.
The award for Best Screenplay went to "Anatomy of a Fall" (Justine Triet, Arthur Harari). This film also clinched the title of Best Foreign Language Film.
Best Musical or Comedy was awarded to "The Poor Things," while the Best Dramatic Series went to "Succession." According to the 2023 results, the Best Comedy Series or Musical was recognized as "The Bear," and the Best Miniseries or Television Film was awarded to "The Last of Us."
In drama, the Best Actor and Actress awards went to Lily Gladstone for "Killers of the Flower Moon" and Cillian Murphy for "Oppenheimer," respectively. The titles of Best Actress in a Drama and Best Supporting Actor went to Da'Vine Joy Randolph for "The Holdovers" and Robert Downey Jr. for "Oppenheimer."
For Comedy or Musical categories, the Best Actor and Actress awards were won by Paul Giamatti for "The Holdovers" and Emma Stone for "The Poor Things." In the category of Best Actress and Actor in a Dramatic Series, the winners were Sarah Snook and Kieran Culkin, both from "Succession," while Best Actress and Actor in a Comedy or Musical Series were awarded to Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White, both for "The Bear."
In the miniseries, the Best Actress and Actor titles went to Steven Yeun and Ali Wong for "Beef," while the Best Supporting Actors were Matthew Macfadyen for "Succession" and Elizabeth Debicki for "The Crown." The Best Animated Feature of the year was awarded to "The Boy and the Heron" (Hayao Miyazaki), and the Best Song went to "What Was I Made For?" from "Barbie."
