Video: We Will No Longer Tolerate Gardens, Cabins, and Other Illegal Constructions - Avinyan

There is approximately 25 hectares of land designated for greening on Myasnikyan Avenue. This was stated today by Armen Begoyan, the director of the "Greening and Environmental Protection" municipal agency during a working meeting of the Yerevan City Hall.

“There are cases of land seizure, and 8 families are living there. We are capable of carrying out both sanitary and irrigation work. Tree planting can take place either in the fall or in the spring of next year,” said Begoyan.

In response, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan commented that the era of seized lands is over. “We will no longer tolerate gardens, cabins, and other illegal constructions. For me, there is no difference whether money is stolen from the community budget or from community lands,” he noted.
