Surena Papikyan Appoints His Former Classmate to a Position
Surena Papikyan has appointed his former classmate Alexander Manucharyan as acting director of the Monte Melkonyan Military-Historical School. This information has been confirmed to Factor.am during an interview with Manucharyan himself.
Papikyan and Manucharyan studied together at Yerevan State University’s Faculty of History. The question arises, to what extent their classmate relationship played a decisive role in Papikyan's appointment of Manucharyan to this position. "I believe it had no connection at all; the issue is about competence," Manucharyan assured in his conversation with the media. Prior to this appointment, he worked as a history teacher at Charentsavan M. Mashtots High School.
It has also come to light that the candidacy of Ashot Petrosyan, the deputy director of the school, was considered for the acting director position, but Surena Papikyan favored his fellow classmate.
