French Prime Minister Resigns

French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne has submitted her resignation, which has been accepted by President Emmanuel Macron. This was reported by Agence France-Presse, citing the Élysée Palace.

“Élisabeth Borne has submitted her government’s resignation, and Macron has accepted it,” the agency reports.

In a letter quoted by the agency, Borne emphasized the need to continue the process of reforms undertaken.

In turn, Macron expressed gratitude to Borne for her work. “Madam Prime Minister, your work has been exemplary every day in service to our nation. You have brought reforms to life with courage, dedication, and determination. I sincerely thank you,” wrote the French president on his microblog X.
