What the US Is Prepared to Offer for Information on Hamas Funding

The US Department of State is prepared to offer up to $10 million in reward for information that will enable the disruption of financing mechanisms for the Hamas Palestinian movement. This was announced by the department, according to RIA Novosti.

"The US Department of State's Rewards for Justice program is offering up to $10 million for information that can help stop the financial mechanisms of Hamas, a foreign terrorist organization," the announcement states.

Specifically, the State Department is seeking information about Hamas financial intermediaries who manage companies in the Palestinian movement's investment portfolio, make monetary transfers to the movement, and also launder proceeds from criminal activities.

The agency noted that it is willing to pay for data that will allow the identification and interruption of any sources of income for Hamas, its financial mechanisms, donors and intermediaries, as well as financial organizations and entities that serve as intermediaries in monetary transfers.
