USS Dwight Eisenhower Aircraft Carrier Enters Red Sea
The American USS Dwight Eisenhower aircraft carrier has entered the Red Sea, according to the U.S. Naval Institute's information service. Previously, the aircraft carrier was stationed in the Gulf of Aden.
In addition to the carrier, which is equipped with 48 F/A-18 fighter-bombers, the group includes the guided missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea, and the destroyers USS Gravely, USS Stethem, USS Carney, USS Mason, and USS Laboon. This group is involved in the multinational operation "Guardian of Prosperity," aimed at protecting vessels and countering Houthi attacks on maritime trade in the Red Sea.
The United States, along with 11 other countries, has called on the Houthis in Yemen to cease attacks on military and commercial vessels in the Red Sea and has warned of the consequences of such attacks.
