Land of "Yerasx 2" Military Unit Strengthened to State Property Committee
The government, during its session on January 4, decided to strengthen the land of the "Yerasx 2" military unit, which was privatized by the Ministry of Defense 15 years ago, to the Committee of State Property Management under the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia.
It should be recalled that the area of the military unit was privatized in 2009. This concerns a special purpose land area provided to the Ministry of Defense by the head of the Armash community in Ararat province based on decisions made in 2005. The unit had the status of a military base, specifically for the "Yerasx 1" and "Yerasx 2" units. The case concerning "Yerasx 1" is still in the judicial phase.
According to the decision, the headquarters building located at the address Yerevanyan Highway 1/4g Yerasx-2 in the Armash village of the Ararat community, with a total area of 212.7 square meters, a building with an area of 34.2 square meters, a dining hall of 110.7 square meters, a storage facility of 43.9 square meters, a sanitary room of 32.4 square meters, a shower room of 80.6 square meters, another shower room of 479.2 square meters, and a perimeter fence of 90.4 square meters (with a volume of 135.6 cubic meters), along with the 0.9 hectares of special purpose land required for their occupation, utilization, and maintenance, must be strengthened to the State Property Management Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures.
It is noted that according to the Prosecutor's Office, in 2009, Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, in violation of the requirements of the Land Code, which forbids transferring special purpose lands belonging to the state and community property to citizens and legal entities, ordered the undervalued privatization of the "Yerasx 2" area (covering 0.9 ha) along with the existing buildings on it.
