Aram Khachatryan on Resignation from Lori Province Governor Position
I agree to be relieved of my duties as per my resignation request; no one removed me, I simply decided so. This was stated by the now former governor of Lori, Aram Khachatryan, in a conversation with 24News, following his departure from the governor's position today.
"I discussed this with my family and came to the conclusion that I should step down from the governor’s position," Khachatryan elaborated.
When asked by the media if his resignation request was in any way related to Prime Minister Pashinyan's recent visit to Lori Province, where numerous issues were noted and the Prime Minister expressed dissatisfaction with the work done, Khachatryan categorically denied this. "I have no issues with the Prime Minister. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank the Prime Minister for trusting me with this position and for our years of cooperation. I have worked with great love and dedication," he stated.
Khachatryan also mentioned that he has not yet thought about taking up a new job and is currently taking time off, adding that time will show where he will go for work in the future.
It is noteworthy that Aram Khachatryan has held the position of governor of Lori Province since December 17, 2020.
