Snowfall in Aragatsotn Region; Several Roads Closed in Armenia

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. Until February 15, due to renovation works, the section of the M-6 highway between Vanadzor and Alaverdi, specifically at kilometers 38-40, will be closed to buses and freight vehicles. An alternative route will operate through the town of Noyemberyan.

In the Aragatsotn Province, the roads leading from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and Kar Lake are also closed. Snow is falling in the Aragats region.

Regarding Lars, information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Emergency Situations Ministry of the Russian Federation’s North Ossetia crisis management center indicates that the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
