Assassination of Hamas Deputy Leader is a Manifest Attack on Lebanon's Sovereignty, Says Hezbollah Leader
The assassination of Hamas deputy chief Saleh al-Arouri is a blatant attack on Lebanon's sovereignty. This was stated by Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Hezbollah movement.
The movement's leader made the remarks during a speech. On the evening of January 2, Reuters and Lebanese media reported that an Israeli drone struck a Hamas office in Beirut. Later, the Palestinian movement confirmed that Hamas's deputy political bureau chief Saleh al-Arouri was killed in the attack.
According to Al-Monitor, the Palestinian Hamas movement also confirmed the deaths of two commanders from the Al-Qassam Brigade's military wing as a result of the strike on January 2. However, the names of the commanders were not disclosed.
