Misak Balasanyan Withdrawn from Position of Ambassador to Iraq
The President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, has signed a decree recalling Misak Balasanyan, the son of former Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan, from his position as the Armenian Ambassador to Iraq. The decree states, 'Based on the Prime Minister's recommendation and in accordance with Article 132, Part 1, Clause 2 of the Constitution and Article 14 of the Law on Diplomatic Service, Misak Balasanyan is recalled from the position of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Iraq.'
