Ministry of Emergency Situations Reports Fatal Collapse in Gyumri

A collapse occurred in Gyumri, resulting in a fatality. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has released a statement regarding the incident.

“On December 29 at 10:45 AM, the Shirak Regional Rescue Department's crisis management center received a call reporting that a wall had collapsed on the road from the Boulevard district to the Mush district, near the football academy. A citizen was trapped under the rubble, and rescue assistance was needed. A firefighting-rescue unit from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene,” the statement said.

It was determined that a section of approximately 25 meters of the wall behind the football academy had collapsed, burying a citizen identified as N. M. (born in 1955). He was declared dead at the scene. Rescuers cordoned off the area, retrieved the citizen's body from the rubble, and transported it to a vehicle for removal.
