French Goods Worth $155 Million to Azerbaijan, A Few Willys and Sweet Words for Us: Varujan Geghamyan
Turkologist and candidate of historical sciences Varujan Geghamyan wrote on his Telegram channel:
“Two French diplomats have been expelled from Azerbaijan. This news and the purported tensions between Azerbaijan and France do not signify anything substantial. For the West, and particularly the EU and France, Azerbaijan holds more importance than Armenia in our region. This is why France sells dual-use goods to Azerbaijan, which are employed for military purposes. For instance, according to official data, in 2022 France sold Azerbaijan goods worth over $155 million that are used for military helicopters. Meanwhile, we are left with only beautiful words and a few Willys. This is the content of the aforementioned $155 million, including helicopters, airplanes, and so on.”
