RIA Novosti reports that Musk commented, "Economic power is the foundation that allows wars to be fought." Initially, Sacks had reacted to the news that the production program for F-35 fighter jets has been thwarted due to supply chain issues, slow production rates, and the high cost of parts.

Elon Musk often makes statements that do not resonate with the White House. For instance, Brendan Carr, a member of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, has stated that President Joe Biden will be monitoring Musk in various ways, including through the Department of Justice, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the New York District Court. According to him, the list will also include the Federal Communications Commission.
