Video: Another Major Drug Trafficking Case Uncovered in Yerevan

Another major drug trafficking case has been uncovered in Yerevan. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It was noted that police received operational information that a 51-year-old resident of Yerevan was acquiring a significant quantity of various drugs and was involved in their distribution.

As a result of operational-investigative measures, it was determined that the aforementioned man was storing the drugs at his residence and was selling them from there. A criminal case has been initiated in this matter.

To determine the prevalence of drugs in schools in Armenia, a study will be conducted. On December 22, a 51-year-old man was arrested on Tigran the Great Avenue on suspicion of acquiring, storing, and distributing drugs and was taken to the Central Division of the police.

On the same day, a search was conducted at his home on 1st Street of Artisans in Yerevan by court order. The search revealed 1.47 grams of methamphetamine, 0.93 grams of heroin, 5 packages of opium weighing a total of 52.95 grams, a syringe containing 8.06 grams of black-brown liquid, a syringe containing 5.75 grams of transparent liquid, seven containers of methadone solution, black-brown trace packets, a metal spoon with black-brown traces, spoons, electric scales, a signaling device, and three cartridges for it,” the statement noted.

The 51-year-old man has been arrested. The criminal proceedings continue.
