Traffic from Jermuk to Syunik Region Suspended, Over 500 Vehicles Stranded

Today, December 25, due to adverse weather conditions, an emergency situation has arisen on the road from the Syunik region to the Vayots Dzor region. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reporting from the scene, the patrol service of the Police of the Republic of Armenia in the Vayots Dzor region has temporarily suspended traffic from the well-known Jermuk intersection to Vayots Dzor for the safety of drivers and citizens.

Both directions of vehicle movement have been halted, and the reason is not the roads in Vayots Dzor region, but the icy roads leading from Syunik to Vayots Dzor, which have made traffic nearly impassable. The traffic jam stretches over 5 kilometers.
