How Much Pre-Holiday Bonuses Did the MPs Receive?

By the decision of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, members of parliament, staff, and other employees received two pre-holiday bonuses ahead of the New Year and Christmas, each equivalent to one month’s salary.

Laura Antonian, Head of the Public Relations and Communications Department of the National Assembly, informed Azatutyun that more than half a billion drams (approximately $1.25 million) were allocated for the bonuses, including taxes.

Last year, the parliamentary speaker allocated nearly $300,000 for the bonuses of MPs, staff, and employees of the National Assembly.
