Details on the Murder in Syunik

A 35-year-old man inflicted bodily harm on a 66-year-old fellow citizen with a cutting and piercing tool in the city of Sisian, Syunik province, which resulted in the latter's death. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

According to the statement, the incident occurred on December 23. "The man also suffered internal bleeding and was transported to the 'Sisian' medical center, where he passed away. A criminal case has been initiated," the police noted.

As a result of operational and investigative measures taken by law enforcement, it was determined that on December 23, around 17:00, in the vicinity of Hanđyan Street in Sisian, during an argument over personal matters, the 35-year-old young man attacked the 66-year-old man. Following further measures, the 35-year-old was found, arrested, and taken to the Sisian police department, where he confessed to the act. He has been referred to the Sisian investigation department. The handle of the knife used in the crime was found in the vicinity of the crime scene.
