51-Year-Old Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking on Tigran the Great Avenue
The Law Enforcement Agency's Anti-Drug Trafficking Department received operational information that a 51-year-old resident of Yerevan was acquiring various types of narcotic substances in significant quantities and engaging in their distribution.
As a result of operational-investigative measures, it was determined that the aforementioned individual was storing the drugs at his residence and selling them from there. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the matter.
On December 22, operatives from the Anti-Drug Trafficking Department, utilizing the operational data and collaborating with the city department and Central Police Division officers, apprehended the 51-year-old man on Tigran the Great Avenue on grounds of reasonable suspicion for acquiring, possessing, and distributing drugs. He was subsequently transferred to the Central Police Division.
On the same day, a search was conducted at his residence on 1st Street of Artisans in Yerevan following a court order. During the search, law enforcement officials discovered 1.47 grams of methamphetamine, 0.93 grams of heroin, 5 packages of opium weighing a total of 52.95 grams, a syringe containing 8.06 grams of a black-brown liquid, a syringe with 5.75 grams of a transparent liquid, seven containers of methadone solution, packets with black-brown residue, a metal spoon with black-brown residue, spoons, electric scales, a signaling device, and 3 rounds intended for it.
The 51-year-old man has been arrested.
