Borrell States Russia Will Win the Ukraine Conflict If EU Fails to Mobilize

Russia will win the conflict in Ukraine if the European Union fails to mobilize all its capabilities. This opinion was expressed by the EU's chief diplomat, Josep Borrell, in an interview with the British newspaper The Guardian.

“If we do not quickly change course and mobilize all our capabilities, it will allow Putin to win the war in Ukraine,” Borrell said.

In the interview, Borrell described Russia as a “great power” that threatens European democracy, Europe, and not just Ukraine. “The important question is what we can do to prevent Russia from winning the war. What are we prepared to do? Are we really ready to do everything necessary? That is the question we must ask ourselves,” Borrell stated. He also expressed the opinion that Russia would not be satisfied with a limited territorial victory.
