Man Detonates Grenade in Hotel: What Happened Overnight in Armavir
On December 22, a mysterious and tragic incident occurred in the Armavir region. Around 9:50 PM, operational information was received by the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs Police regarding a man's body found in one of the hotel complexes in the village of Tsaghkunq. According to reports, police discovered the body of a man in one of the hotel rooms, who had died from an explosion. Preliminary information suggests that the man committed suicide by detonating a grenade.
Officers and investigators found the man's body, which was completely mangled, on the floor in Room 305, in front of a couch. The website reports that the man had checked into the hotel earlier in the evening, ordered food, then isolated himself in the room he had booked. After some time, hotel staff discovered him dead.
The hotel complex is equipped with surveillance cameras, which have been seized by investigators. The investigator has ordered a number of examinations, including a forensic examination of the body. It is noted that a "calzo," a device designed for detonating grenades, was also discovered near the body.
