Attention: Fog, Snow, and Blizzard on Roads. Drivers Should Use Winter Tires

The Rescue Service informs that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. The roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd fortress and the Karch lake are closed.

The Vardenyats pass (experiencing fog and blizzard) is impassable for trucks with trailers unless equipped with chains. In the city of Jermuk, in the areas of Sisian-Zanger, Meghri Mountain, Vardenyats Pass, and regions of Yeghipapa, Aparan, and Talin, there is snowfall.

In Shirak Province, the roads from Lanjik to Mastara, Gyumri to Bavra, and in Vayots Dzor Province, the roads leading to the city of Jermuk are experiencing black ice. In Syunik Province, there is black ice in the areas of Tatev-Ltsen, Goris-Sisian, and Sisian-Zanger.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry for North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for trucks. Drivers are advised to use only winter tires.
