Woman Crossing Road at Unauthorized Location Hit and Killed

Today, December 21, a fatal traffic accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 18:45, 30-year-old Gor M. from the Syunik region hit a woman pedestrian who was crossing the street at an unauthorized location with his Kia Sportage car on Koryuni Street.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, an emergency medical team arrived promptly at the scene. The medical staff confirmed the pedestrian's death. The driver underwent a sobriety test on site and was found to be sober. The police and investigative department are working to identify the deceased.

The photojournalist also reports that there was no external lighting in the area at the time of the accident and for an hour after.
