What is the Situation on Armenia's Highways

The Emergency Situations Department informs that there are closed roads within the territory of Armenia. The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region leading to the Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari are blocked.

On the road leading to the city of Jermuk in the Vayots Dzor region, as well as on segments in the Syunik region such as Tatev-Ltsen, Goris-Sisisan, and Sisian-Zanger, there are instances of black ice present.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepanavan-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
