Time for Politics to Stay Away from Armenian Football: Yura Movsisyan

The former forward of the Armenian national team, Yura Movsisyan, made a post on social media regarding the upcoming elections for the Armenian Football Federation (AFF) president.

"I believe it is time for politics to stay away from Armenian football. We have paid a very high price for our football to change, and it is time for politics to allow football experts to do what they know best. For over 30 years, we have seen what politics has done in football, so please stay away," wrote Movsisyan, wishing good luck to the two candidates running for AFF president.

"I wish both of you success. Armenian football will only change when we are honest in our work, and I truly believe that Aras Ozbiliz and Armen Melikbekyan will do everything to get us out of this mess. I believe both have the right foundations in this matter, and I wish them both success. Armenian football must win," Movsisyan stated.

It should be noted that the AFF presidential election will take place on December 23. Former national team player Aras Ozbiliz will compete against the current president Armen Melikbekyan.
