Military Drills to Be Held in Armenia: Dates Announced
From January 23 to April 12, 2024, military drills will be conducted in Armenia. This decision was made during today’s meeting of the Armenian government.
The drills will involve reservists classified as first and second category of the first group, including privates, junior officers, and senior officers. It is anticipated that up to 2,838 citizens will participate in the drills. Among them, 2,579 will be privates and junior officers, 98 will be senior junior officers, and 161 will be officer reservists with specialties in combined arms, motorized infantry, communication, reconnaissance, engineering, and artillery.
During the drills, each citizen will be engaged for no more than 25 calendar days. To ensure the smooth running of the drills, from January 23 to April 12, 2024, up to 10 road construction vehicles (excavators used for trenching) will be allocated from bodies responsible for military transport, with each vehicle being used for no more than 25 calendar days.
This decision will come into effect the day after its official publication.
