Important Decisions Must Be Made in the Coming Months: Macron

Some European countries and the United States have doubts regarding Ukraine's future, but France considers it essential not to allow Russia to win in the conflict. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron in an interview with France 5, as reported by TASS.

"We feel that certain European countries are beginning to have doubts, just like the Americans," he said. The French leader emphasized that Europe has been fortunate with the current administration in Washington, which supports Kyiv, but admitted that there is uncertainty about the political situation in the United States.

According to him, the question being resolved in Ukraine now is about "Europe's ability to live in peace." He highlighted that France is "not at war with Russia but cannot allow Russia to win." Macron believes that Western countries, together with Ukraine, have managed to achieve strategic victories, one of which was preventing the Russian Federation from advancing beyond its positions from the first weeks of the conflict.

The head of state called for not weakening support for Ukraine and mentioned that "important decisions must be made in the coming months." However, he did not specify what decisions he was referring to.

"We are committed to supporting Ukraine, defending its territorial integrity, preventing a Russian victory, and avoiding geographical and nuclear escalation. We have managed to stay true to this line over the past two years," Macron stated.
