Video: IDF Takes Complete Control of Jabalia Region
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have taken complete control of the Jabalia region, which is the largest Hamas stronghold in the northern Gaza Strip. This was reported by the Israeli Voice Telegram channel, referring to the IDF.
Reports indicate that during the fighting in Jabalia, over 1,000 militants have been killed, and more than 500 members of Hamas and other organizations have surrendered, including 70 from the "Nukhba" special forces unit, which was a key force during the October 7 attack on Israel.
Previously, the IDF liberated and fully secured Beit Hanoun. Israeli forces intend to expand operations in other areas of southern Gaza, according to TK.
As reported by EADaily, the IDF announced on November 21 that its 162nd division has completed the encirclement of Jabalia in northern Gaza and is ready to broaden combat operations. Jabalia is the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Gaza. According to Israeli military intelligence, Hamas militants have operated from its territory.
The IDF stated that the 215th artillery regiment and the Israeli Air Force have carried out massive strikes on Jabalia to "prepare the ground for incursion." Three tunnel entrances, which were used by Hamas militants, were bombarded on the outskirts of the town.
