First Time Online Voting Will Be Used in Russian Presidential Elections

For the first time, remote electronic voting (REW) will be used in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation. Residents of 29 regions in Russia will be able to vote online during the elections scheduled for March 15-17, 2024. This decision was made today at a meeting of the Central Election Commission of Russia.
"The decision has been made," stated the chairman of the Central Election Commission. It has been reported that the REW system will be implemented in Moscow, Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Vladimir, Voronezh, Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Kursk, several other cities and regions, as well as in the annexed Crimea.
